My advise would be to forget about "cooking" for your dogs and go to a prey-model raw diet. Even senior dogs without teeth can eat this way, believe it or not, and it is the healthiest thing for your seniors and any new pup you might get. Join the Yahoo group "raw feeding". Lurk for a while and you will find everything you need to know about this kind of feeding. Once you get going and see how the dogs love it, and start seeing the positive side-effects (clean teeth, smaller stools, loss of "doggie" odor) you'll wonder what took you so long.
