Uncharted 2 Loading screen is not going away?

I have cleaned the disc about a hundred times already the ps3 reads the disc but as soon as i start up the game it just goes into this...this...this... DAGGER OF DEATH. how do i get past the first loading screen NOTE: i have had uncharted 2 for nearly a year now but never had this problem before.
